The 2012 International Convention on Science Education and Medicine in Sport (ICSEMIS 2012)

The 2012 International Convention on Science, Education and Medicine in Sport (ICSEMIS 2012)July 19-24th 2012, SECC Glasgow

Deadline for submission extended - Submit your abstract here.

We have received over 1,200 abstracts from all over the world and are looking forward to what is shaping up to be an exciting programme full of diverse, interesting research in sport, physical education, exercise, physical activity and sports medicine. In response to many requests to accept late submissions, we have decided to extend the abstract deadline to 1 December 2011.

We invite you to submit an abstract to ICSEMIS 2012 and hope that you can be a part of this truly global sport science convention, the largest of its type to take place in the UK.

Organised and owned by the IOC, IPC, ICSSPE and FIMS; ICSEMIS replaces and expands the scope of the former four-yearly Congresses that were so familiar to many scientists and academics in sport. It will be uniquely positioned to take full advantage of the world's attention that will focus on the UK in July 2012. The Opening Ceremony of the London Olympic Games will take place on 27 July just after the Convention ends and we expect many Convention delegates to attend both the Olympic and Paralympic Games. We expect over 2,000 delegates from every professional sector and academic discipline associated with sport, physical education, exercise, physical activity and sports medicine.

Keynote presentations will be inter-weaved with over 100 parallel sessions and 1000's of free communications to provide a unique multi-disciplinary insight into the broad spectrum of sport and exercise related studies.
