BJSM – New Benefit for FIMS Members

FIMS is proud to announce our new partnership with the British Journal of Sports Medicine (BJSM). This association with one of the leading clinical sports medicine and physiotherapy journals enhances FIMS educational and scientific activities and adds further value for all FIMS members.

BJSM is the world’s premier clinical sports medicine journal providing original research, reviews and debate on clinically relevant aspects of sport and exercise medicine including physiotherapy, physical therapy and rehabilitation. The 2014 impact factor was 5.025. The journal is co-owned with the British Association of Sport and Exercise Medicine (BASEM) and is an official journal of 18 leading national and international sports medicine and physiotherapy societies who have over 12,000 members. The International Olympic Committee supports the publication of four BJSM issues each year on injury prevention and health protection.

BJSM’s web, print, video and audio material serves the international sport and exercise medicine community as a multimedia portal and the journal is recognised as a leader in sports medicine social media: @BJSM_BMJ, podcasts, a blog and now its own app available via iTunes and Google Play. The BJSM Twitter account has more than 24,000 followers.

FIMS will have the opportunity to contribute directly to one issue per year and to propose podcasts related to content or FIMS activities. The biannual FIMS Congress abstracts may be published in a supplement or issue of BJSM.

All FIMS members will have access to content back to Volume 1 Issue 1 of the BJSM via the FIMS website using their previous login credentials. They will also have access to the education modules hosted on BMJ Learning in association with BJSM.  FIMS members may also subscribe for the print issue at a discounted price.
