On the occasion of the 30th Pan American Congress of Sports Medicine and the 12th Central American Congress of Sports Medicine held Guatemala City, Guatemala from 1st to 3rd October, a meeting of the Executive Committee took place on 2nd October 2025.

On this occasion, the Executive Committee met with Prof. Marcelo Sajuria, President of the Organizing Committee of the 39th World Congress of Sports Medicine, to be held in Santiago, Chile, from September 24 to 27, 2026, organized by the Chilean Society of Sports Medicine.

Professor Sajuria updated and discussed the organizational and scientific aspects of the Congress with the Executive Committee, in view of the preparatory visit of a FIMS delegation to Santiago in November 2025.

At the end of the meeting, the Executive Committee attended a reception hosted by the President of the Republic of Guatemala, H.E. Dr. Bernardo Arévalo de León.

From 27th to 30th November 2025, the Annual Meeting of the FIMS Collaborating Centres in Sports Medicine will be held in Sanya, China.

The next meeting of the Executive Committee will be held in Hong Kong SAR, China on 16-18 April 2026.

President Prof. Fabio Pigozzi, accompanied by Vice President Dr. Rafael Robles and Executive Member Dr. Ana Cintron, presented the Official FIMS plaque to the President of the Republic of Guatemala, H.E. Dr. Bernardo Arévalo de León.
