The FIMS President meets the IOC President

The President of the International Olympic Committee, Thomas Bach met yesterday Fabio Pigozzi, President of the International Federation of Sports Medicine, in the IOC Headquarters in Lausanne. Dr. André Debruyne, FIMS Treasurer and Mr. Mario Pescante, IOC Member and Chairman of the International Relations Commission of the IOC, were also present at the meeting.

Prof. Pigozzi stressed the FIMS commitment to support the scientific research in the protection of the athlete health and in the fight against doping, informing also Mr. Bach on the recent relevant educational initiatives carried out by the Federation, and the development of the network of the FIMS Collaborating Centres of Sports Medicine.
