Prof. Fabio Pigozzi Participates in Anti-Doping Forum and Institutional Meetings in Tashkent

Prof. Fabio Pigozzi, in his capacity as President of NADO Italia, took part in the Anti-Doping Forum organized by the National Anti-Doping Agency of Uzbekistan (UzNADA). The event coincided with the official inauguration of UzNADA's new offices located within the Olympic town, marking a significant step forward for the country's anti-doping infrastructure.

The ceremony and forum gathered prominent representatives from the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA), including WADA President Witold Bańka, Dr. Mayumi YaYa Yamamoto, Director of the Asia/Oceania Regional Office, and Sébastien Gillot, Director of the European Office and Sport Movement Relations. Their presence highlighted the international community's support for Uzbekistan's ongoing efforts to strengthen its anti-doping system.

During his stay in Tashkent, Prof. Pigozzi also visited the Republican Scientific and Practical Center of Sports Medicine of the Republic of Uzbekistan, where he met with the institution's leadership. The Center, located in the same building as the National Olympic Committee headquarters, has recently submitted its application to become a FIMS Collaborating Center of Sports Medicine (CCSM), signaling its commitment to advancing sports medicine and athlete health at the highest international standards.
