Scientific Commission

The aims of the Scientific Commission are:

  1. To promote scientific research in the field of Sports Medicine.
  2. To prepare Consensus / Position Statements regarding specific problems in Sports Medicine proposed by the Executive Committee.
  3. To cooperate with the organizers of the FIMS World Congress of Sports Medicine as well as with the organizers of other international scientific events sponsored by FIMS, especially as regards the choice of topics, invited lecturers, chairperson of sessions, and publication of proceedings.
  4. To cooperate with the Editor of the CSMR as the official journal of FIMS to produce the FIMS editions of the Journal.

THE INTERNATIONAL FEDERATION OF SPORTS MEDICINE AT THE WEARABLE TECHNOLOGIES CONFERENCE 2019 IN MUNICH

The FIMS President, Prof. Fabio Pigozzi together with the Chairman of the Scientific Commission, Prof. Yannis Pitsiladis, the Secretary General Prof. Norbert Bachl and the 1st Vice-President Dr. André Debruyne took part to the Wearable Technologies Conference 2019 EUROPE held in Munich on 5th and 6th February 2019. An ad hoc meeting has been organized together with the representatives of Wearable Technologies and other relevant stakeholders in order to discuss further cooperation on this important area in the field of Sports Medicine and the protection of the health of the athletes.
